Moonstone's shimmer is caused by the stone's internal structure, which is made up of alternating layers of albite and orthoclase feldspar that refract light in a unique way. When light hits this play of minerals, it produces a pearly sheen that some say resembles moonlight glowing in water
Moonstone can be colorless or white, but it can also be found in shades of blue, gray, yellow, peach, green, and brown. It's considered the most valuable feldspar member in existence today, and the finest moonstones are mainly found in Sri Lanka and Southern India. However, other varieties can also be found in Australia, Armenia, Mexico, Brazil, the United States, India, and Madagascar.
Stone size is around 9 to 10.5mm and they are strung on an elastic cord.
