Libyan Meteorite, also known as desert glass or Great Sand Sea glass is an impactite and found in areas in the eastern Sahara, in the deserts of eastern Libya and western Egypt.
Not much is known about it other than its creation is likely due to the intense heat of a meteor impact causing nearby silica to melt, creating this natural glass.
The stone is set in an adjustable sterling silver ring with zircon accents.
