Libyan Meteorite, also known as desert glass or Great Sand Sea glass is an impactite and found in areas in the eastern Sahara, in the deserts of eastern Libya and western Egypt.
Not much is known about it other than its creation is likely due to the intense heat of a meteor impact causing nearby silica to melt, creating this natural glass.
The 9mm stone is set in a sterling silver sword pendant that is about 1.2 inches long. It comes with a base metal chain.
