Natural black opal is the rarest and most valuable variety of opal. Unlike white or milky opals, it features a dark body tone—ranging from deep gray to jet black. This dark base acts as a natural canvas that intensifies the stone's vibrant, shifting "play-of-color".
Most varieties of black opal on the market get their dark color from heat treatments. These stones are heat treated.
Each stone is approximately 2mm and strung on an elastic cord.
