Jadeite is a rare, hard, and valuable mineral, specifically a sodium-aluminum silicate belonging to the clinopyroxene family. It is one of the two distinct types of "jade" (the other being nephrite) and is highly prized for its vibrant color, glassy luster, and range of colors including lavender, black, green, and white.
