Jade

Jade comes in a variety of colors and is known to be very durable. Most of the jade and jadeite in this shop isneither from Guatemala or Burma unless otherwise stated.

Jade and jadeite are both types of jade, but they are distinct minerals. Jade is a general term referring to two different silicate minerals: jadeite and nephrite. Jadeite is an aluminum-rich pyroxene, while nephrite is a magnesium-rich amphibole. Jadeite is typically more translucent and suitable for jewelry, while nephrite is more opaque and often used for carving.
