Prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate hydroxide mineral known for its pale green to yellow-green, translucent color. It is prized as a gemstone for cabs and beads, with a hardness of 6–6.5. Found in volcanic rocks in South Africa, Australia, Canada, and the US, it is often associated with zeolite minerals.
